couple of questions

1) is there a way that i could save my beats on the mpc without having to load the samples and drums on the pads when i turn them back on..

like when i turn it on, i could just load the beat right away

2) how do i put my beats in my computer(windows) as a mp3 file through my usb cable..

Yeah you gotta read up on the autoload function. But i wouldnt want the same beat loading up every time i turned on the mpc. You should just save your projects in seperate folders and load them up that way. (but to each his own) as far as sending your beats to the pc as mp3's, you cant. BUT you can send them as wave files and convert them to mp3's inside the pc. You have to combine your sequences into song mode first. Once you do this go to the mpc's record mode like you are going to sample something. Then change the input source from analog to main outs. This will record whatever the mpc is playing. The mpc is hardwired to do this so there's no need to run extra cables or anything. Hit play and the mpc will record the song as an audio file. (be sure that the song is ready to play from the beginning b4 you press play) Now save that file like you would a sample and transfer it to the pc. Use any type of conversion software to change the file to mp3 format. There you go. hope this helps.

Yeah. 90 percent of the questions asked can be answered with the search function. I just try to help when someone needs it. If i cant answer, or dont feel like answering i dont reply. It depends on if i feel like someone is at least putting forth the effort. I dont agree with everything rich has to say but i can at times understand his fustration. Im not talking about watuppange post cuz he is at least trying to use the tips given to him. Its alright to help someone get off on the right foot.

Just to clear things up,

1) auto load, honestly I highly advise on the manual for this one. I never understood what people meant on it til I read it for myself while sitting in front of the MPC.

2) correct you cannot do this as an MP3, what you can do is set the MPC to resample itself in the record screen by changing the input source. Then you can take that WAV file and drag it to the comp thru USB. You will need to use software in the comp (Audacity, iTunes, whatever) to convert to MP3.

thanks man.. what if your mp only says you could record about 20 seconds? i cant record my beat

20 seconds...the technical term for that is f*cked na seriously tho, that's not going to be enough time. Do u have the RAM upgrade?
