It also talks about JJOS at the bottom of this page:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Music_Production_Center
although it's not very in-depth... It hits most of the key points though.

A Wikipedia page is a great idea. If you need any of my infinite wisdom, please let me know.

Yeah about 3 days after the new OS came out I was bored at work and decided to google JJ OS and came up on the wikipedia link, it talked about the new JJ OS 2 coming out. I was like what the hell, it just came out a couple days ago. wiki knows up to JJ OS 2 v 1.01. Check this out, I copied it straight out of the link above under the MPC1000 section, read towards the bottom...
MPC1000
The MPC1000 is a 64-track sampler/sequencer. It comes with 16 MB sample memory as standard, and can be expanded to 128 MB. It supports sampling rates of 22 or 44.1 kHz, in stereo or mono. Its features include a USB port, an internal CompactFlash card reader, two MIDI inputs and outputs, and effects and multiple analog outputs as standard. Its sequencer's resolution is 96 ppq. There have been wide spread problems with the pad sensors in the 1000. This problem was remedied by Akai, when in the latest version of the MPC 1000, the pad sensors design returned to the design of the pad sensors in previous models. This fix has been seen to be pre-installed on the MPC1000BK-N, not the MPC1000 (blue outer casing), or the MPC1000BK. Although this pad problem was eventually fixed by Akai, a frustrated MPC 1000 user, who goes by the name of "Nym," designed, built and sold kits of a pad fix. By comparison, the Akai pad fix uses better sensor technology (Sensitronic FSRs).
The damn thing talks about Nym! They must go way back, lol. wiki, wiki, wiki, wiki....jam on it...

yeah i did the recent overhaul of the jj section. i tried to keep it to just the key points because i didn't want it to be long. but if someone wants to make a separate page for just the jj os, go ahead, i'll monitor it. i enjoy it.
p.s. nym. whatever you say, you deserved a mention.

Oh, ok, now it makes sense, I never knew how wikipedia got its information, I didn't know anyone could put up information for people to look up. Yeah, Nym definitally deserves a mention, homeboy's been puttin it down and has helped so many people including myself with his tutorials and posts.
