for those with internal drives in a 3000 using ACARD bridge - what firmware was on your Acard (if you know) 3.79 by any chance?

ok good idea.

here we go...

here is what i used for my internal card reader..if i remember it correctly...

scsi cable 25 to 50

(seems like a lot of powercables, but this way you dont have to solder stuff in your mpc)

powercable 1 (adapter floppy to molex)

powercable 2 (molex y splitter)

powercable 3 (molex to floppy)

then you will need this male to male 25 scsi adapter :

i think thats it regarding the cables.

how much of this is exactly the same in the 3000 - you know, if I'm putting together a shopping list for cables?

if it works in the 60 , i am sure it will work on the 3k.

i got the acard reader from someone that was using it on the 3k.

I'm getting the Acard+CF>IDE tray asap.

have some other stuff to distract me over next few weeks, so by the time I get all the featured cables it prob be the new year - IF I get it working planing on doing a very detailed step by step with detailed photo's (and ALL info relating to firmware etc etc) so anyone new to this like me doesn't have to do the crazy amount of forum searching I've been doing this week. hopefully it can then be a sticky that stays up.

if anyone has details of CF>IDE adapters to avoid that would be useful. fairly sure the one I'm getting will work, but good to know.

see above regardling firmware and check which firmware you are getting before buying.

do not F with the yamaha bridge unless you got the skills to get it working, many of us don't.

take this for ref
