thread after thread the guy is praising what ever thing he owns. MPD's are not the top of the pad controller marker, and the MPD's are far from being the top. I dont for a second believe that the mashine sounds any less good then BPM unless the guy used the stock soundcard when playing maschine and then plugged in the 800 dollar interface when running bpm. Also, try running several rack synths, drum machines, and what ever else with software... that is what mpc's are designed to do.
sooo much to say then, didnt we?

and now he believes!

what a douche! :?

you better thank rueben! you would thank ANYBODY but me. you one of those 38 year olds that kick dirt at sandbox toddlers arent you?

because you haven't said ****... rueben at least talked about the specs...

you like bpm better then maschine, you backed that up by saying dilla liked the mpc3000 or some bullsh!t talk... I ask you a half a dozen times to explain what you mean with specs or some kind of data other then opinion and you post a comment someone else made about them liking included sound packs, which tells nothing about the program capabilities. You prefer BPM and you dont even know why... then you try and hide that by trying to toss around insults that dont even make sense.

who gives a ****? even if you compared factual stats of each machine, what really matters is what sounds better to your ears, and who cares if you even know why. i dont give a **** what bit rate it is, who mastered what, and what came from where, does the **** sound good? and as we all know, that **** is subjective; now granted, do i look at the stats when making a purchase/desicsion? yes. so i cant knock those who want to support things with facts either. but thats one factor, not the only factor in deciding what gear/software is better. you all fools if you think its one way or the other, if you base your opinion on fact, guess what, its still an opinion! and if all you got is an opinion with no reasoning, youre just hot air.

lets settle this like the beat kangs.............you guys should have a beat battle, Maschine vs BPM!

then you tell me who/what sounds better............i think youll realize it has little to do with the **** software.

peace

good point and true, but to add to that... the sounds included have nothing to do with the capabilities of the two things... I mean, sure prefering the sound of one product over another is great... however unless you test both units with the same audio files, using all the same equipment, it would be hard to make a side by side comparison. That is where the specs comes in... saying that the maschine sounds dull is not an argument or a good explanation... neither is saying you owned ever single sampler so we should trust you.

It is great to have an opinion, but if you are trying to say that one product destroys an other product... at least say why.

do you make jungle, dnb, or electro organic? also, i dont own a maschine or bpm just to let you know. And to make matters worse, even if i wanted to have a battle... I wouldn't even be able to because I dont have access to any equipment at all (except for traktor pro) due to renovations. That is why I haven't made a single piece of music in months... but if you wait untill the spring time then i'm down.

we should start a new thread, a beat battle thread where we throw up a sample and dudes can rep thier equipment, BPM, Maschine, BTV, MPCxxxxx, MV, ASR, Ableton, etc. Make it official and whenever there is a X vs X thread we can make folks battle it out! haha!

!!

update: heres the progress so far.

boards now populated, just the idc headers to connect to the main digital input boards to solder to the boards. everything fits fine when tested i will then fit into the finished casework. not long now until i can finish this project and start the next one which is an 8 channel motor fader control surface for any sequencer/daw software.

here are the boards and also test fitted into the spare casework.
