Hi...

I currently use the mpc live and was wondering if there is a way of playing the sequences in Itunes. In much the same when you drag and drop from mpc to a pc to play a sample.
I've got finished songs/sequences that i would like to transfer directly to itunes and then to an ipod for live performance rather than changing disks on the mpc halfway through a 40 min set.
Is this possible?

iTunes can't play MPC sequences, but if you convert your song to a WAV and transfer that the the computer then you can play it (in itunes or whatever you like)

look in the manual for how to sample the main outs

Hi.. thanks.

I don't have a manual to hand... is there a way of changing the file type in the actual mpc to wav then transfer it to itunes etc? Or does it have to be done via an external source?
i'm working with literally my mpc and a laptop.

you don't change the file type, a sequence is not a single file, it's a sequence file and a program file and lots of sample files.

what you do is you play the sequence and record it as a new sample, look in the manual under "recording the MAIN OUT"

then you can transfer that newly recorded sample to your laptop via USB or a CF card

you can download the manual from akaipro.com, and as it's a PDF it's searchable too
