As the HDM10 is becomming more readily available, i want to start a thread where everyone can post which hard drive you purchased and if it worked or didn't work.
i'll start!
i have a Toshiba MK1032GAX 100GB 5400RPM 16MB cache it came up and worked with no problems.
Edited May02, by Lampdog: Sparq, just wanted to add this list to your post.

100 GB, nice.
I was also looking into the Toshiba. What do you think of the noise it makes, does it sound annoying?

akai did not test the 100gb drive. the highest akai tested was 80gb. i just went and bought it. i am not sure if it will take anything bigger than 100gb. you can try it. if it works, post it up in this thread. i don't know if this will help but i've read where ppl over in the 4k section put in a 120gb hard drive. the 4k architecture is different than the 1k so i don't know.
but if you do try anything larger than 100gb find out about their return policy in case it doesn't work. most online places will take it back with a 15% restocking fee. so be carefull.

just so people will know, if you are looking at toshiba drives any drive product number ending in "...GAS" is 4200 RPM and if it ends in "...GAX" it is 5400 RPM for example, the drive that PG has is 5400 RPM

but to answer your question, that looks like it would workok but read the reviews
you may also want to try this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... gory=41911
